There is no greater honor as a photographer than capturing life’s most cherished memories. We love to capture the curves of pregnancy and tender emotions of this special time. These are your first moments of motherhood, and we’re excited to preserve these moments as beautiful works of art.

Motherhood is such a special time in a woman’s life, and it deserves to be documented as beautiful works of art. Our signature style is classic and timeless. We offer customized maternity sessions to create fine art portraits that will be cherished for generations.

what to expect

A maternity session is more than a photoshoot. It’s a day of well-deserved pampering. You’ll feel gorgeous and empowered, while documenting one of the most incredible times in your life.

With 10 years of experience, we use our expertise in posing and artistic lighting to accentuate your curves. Classic studio backdrops and our extensive collection of wardrobe styles offer endless creative possibilities. Rest assured that we will customize posing and lighting, and our natural post-processing includes tasteful smoothing of skin and body contours to make sure you look your best. We will do our best to meet and exceed your expectations!

Our Midtown Manhattan Photo Studio is conveniently located to the PENN Station, PATH train, major Subway lines, as well as the Lincoln and Midtown Tunnels. We service clients from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester, Long Island, Hamptons, Connecticut, and the surrounding areas.

Our modern boutique photography studio allows us to offer an enjoyable session experience, while delivering portraits of the highest quality. We use a combination of classic backdrops and artistic lighting to make your vision into a reality. We encourage you to relax and make yourself at home!

PARKING

Parking Tab

Street parking is not available during weekdays. We recommend reserving a spot at one of the nearby parking garages to ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival.

Limited street parking is available on Saturdays & Sundays. Please read the parking signs, as certain streets use metered paid parking. We recommend reserving a spot at the nearby parking to ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival.

We recommend planning your commute in advance and checking traffic conditions beforehand to arrive punctually for your shoot.

Please understand that sessions cannot be extended out of fairness to all our clients.

hair & make-up

Please arrive with your hair and make-up camera ready.  We recommend taking the time for professional glam services prior to your appointment. False lashes are perfect if you'd like a more dramatic look. If you plan to wear your hair down, soft waves with plenty of hairspray generally work best to keep hair out of the eyes for poses looking down at the belly.  You can later pull some hair back in a halfway updo  or full updo for a more elegant look. We strongly recommend avoiding greasy lotions and creams on the day of your session. Please bring along facial powder for touch-ups.  Natural, nude or French tip manicure is ideal for timeless maternity portraits. It’s all in the details!

Professional make-up is included with your Classic Session. Strip lashes are available if you’d prefer a more dramatic look.  Our glam artist will stay on set for any touch-ups during the shoot. We recommend taking the time to have your hair done at a salon prior to your appointment if you're not comfortable styling yourself.  Enjoy the excuse for a day of pampering.  If you plan to wear your hair down, soft waves with plenty of hairspray generally work best to keep hair out of the eyes for poses looking down at the belly.  Natural, nude or French tip manicure is ideal for timeless maternity portraits.

Our Signature & Luxe Sessions include complimentary professional make-up and dry hair styling. Please arrive with your face bare if you'd like our glam artist to work her makeup magic. Strip lashes are available if you’d prefer a more dramatic look. Please arrive with your hair blow dried straight, so we can add soft waves for volume or style an updo for an elegant look. If you wear hair extensions, please be sure to have them blow dried straight and applied beforehand. We understand that some clients prefer to have their hair and/or makeup done beforehand, which is perfectly fine. We can spend up to one hour of your session on hair and make-up, so please prepare accordingly. Natural, nude or French tip manicure is ideal for timeless maternity portraits. 

WHITE , BEIGE & GRAY BACKDROPS

 

Our classic backdrop colors allow us to capture timeless portraits to be enjoyed for generations. We will use different lighting set-ups to capture a lovely variety of ethereal concepts and dramatic silhouettes. All skin tones photograph beautifully for maternity portraits with our carefully curated backdrops.

WHAT TO

bring?

The main item to wear for your session is a seamless nude thong and regular strapless bra for coverage and support beneath styles. If you'd like to capture implied nudes but feel uncomfortable fully topless, then nipple covers or a sticky bra are fine to bring along as well. A set of black underwear and bra is lovely for sultry concepts on the darker backdrop. Lacy textures photograph beautifully.

 

We encourage you to incorporate some of your own styles. A pair of unbuttoned jeans, blazer suit, jean jacket, gown, traditional attire, bodysuit, bridal veil, scarf, fur, accent jewelry, or fedora is perfect for a personal touch to your maternity portraits. We generally pose barefoot, but you're welcome to bring along a glamorous pair of heels if they still fit well!

We offer a wardrobe of fitted maternity gowns, dresses, robes, crop tops and bodysuits to accentuate your curves. You can view samples featured in the PORTFOLIO and Instagram. Our Classic, Signature and Luxe Sessions have additional access to our collection of silks in a variety of muted tones and bright colors for endless creative possibilities.

OLDER CHILDREN

We're happy to include older child(ren) for some intimate portraits.

  • Please have your partner and child(ren) join one hour later to ensure a calm and relaxed experience.
  • A generous feeding beforehand will ensure a happy mood. Pain Quotidien is located on the corner.
  • Light jeans and white tops are classic attire. Make sure that styles fit well, especially for toddlers. Shirts, rompers or dresses that snap under the butt are ideal for this active age.

SMALL PETS

If you have your heart set on capturing a few portraits with your fur baby, we do allow small dogs if they stay in a carrier while not on set. We kindly ask that your partner joins later in the shoot, so your dog will not get antsy in our cozy studio space. Please also be sure to bring along some favorite treats to use as bribery.

COUPLES PORTRAITS

We encourage partners to join for some intimate couples portraits. While some may prefer formal attire, most partners wear jeans with a fitted black shirt or white shirt. We love to capture some classic poses together to celebrate this special time in your lives!

after the session

Within one week of your session, we'll share an online proofing gallery for your review. These RAW unedited images may not be downloaded or shared, since they are not a finished product. All unselected images will be deleted. Once you've finalized your favorites, we will hand edit each image in our signature style for your portrait gallery.

ADDITIONAL DIGITAL PORTRAITS

Sessions include a select number of edited portraits. However, you're always welcome to purchase additional favorites for editing. Please review pricing details below for reference.

Rest assured that we will adjust white balance, extend the backdrops, remove distractions, tastefully minimize skin blemishes, and smooth body contours to make sure you look your best. Digital portraits will each be presented in color and black & white to be downloaded in high resolution for your personal archives. For clients interested in more extensive retouching, we are happy to recommend a professional retouching service such as retouchup.com. Please view samples of our natural enhancements in the Before & After Gallery for reference.

YOUR PRIVACY

As professional photographers, please understand that our business is reliant on sharing recent samples of our work with potential clients. If you prefer that we do not share nude or breastfeeding images, please simply include a note in your maternity questionnaire or email us directly. If you wish to keep private ALL of the images from your Session, we offer a Privacy Add-On that may be purchased prior to your session.

KEEPSAKE ALBUMS

Our award-winning Keepsake Albums feature polished aluminum covers and panoramic pages. The perfect way to display your most intimate memories, and you can view some beautiful samples in our studio on the day of your shoot.
