There is no bigger honor as a photographer than preserving life’s most cherished memories for your growing family. Newborn photography requires passion, patience, and preparation. Our session experience is comfortable and relaxed. We use our expertise in posing and artistic lighting to capture timeless newborn and family portraits. Our newborn photography style is organic and pure with neutral tones to create a variety of unique and timeless portraits. Newborns are so tiny and fragile in those first few days after birth. With the sleepless nights and whirlwind of emotions, this precious phase seems to pass by in the blink of an eye. A Newborn Portrait Session is the perfect way to capture your tiny miracle as beautiful works of art.

SESSION
Newborn portraits are best captured in the first 4-14 days, while your baby is sleeping soundly and curling up into those adorable womb-like poses. We only reserve a limited number of newborn clients each month to allow flexibility in our weekday morning calendar.
We encourage you to reserve your newborn photography session as early as possible to ensure availability around your due date. You'll contact the studio the day after your bundle of joy arrives to schedule your newborn session. We'll take into consideration baby's birthday, birth weight, jaundice, and overall health to determine the best timing for newborn portraits. For newborns that are born prematurely, we recommend scheduling a session within the first week of being sent home. If you’ve already had your little one, we will try our very best to accommodate you, or at least to recommend a fellow NYC photographer with a similar aesthetic.

We offer newborn sessions in our Midtown Manhattan studio or the comfort of your home depending on your preferred package.
Our modern boutique photography studio allows us to offer a comfortable session experience, while delivering portraits of the highest quality. Our space has been custom designed for the comfort and well-being of our tiniest clients, and for new parents to enjoy a well deserved break. The studio is kept warm and cozy throughout the session. We use a combination of classic backdrops and artistic lighting to make your vision into a reality. There is a reception area and fully stocked changing table available for your convenience. We’ll photograph baby right in front of you, while you relax and fully enjoy the beauty of your little miracle.
If you'd prefer an in-home newborn shoot, we'll bring along studio lighting, space heater, blankets, knit wraps and accessories to set up a "studio" in your bedroom for posed portraits of your baby. We’ll also capture some intimate family portraits that incorporate meaningful settings within your home, or use a bare wall (6-feet wide) as a seamless backdrop.
OUR STYLE
Our signature style is soft, simple and timeless. We strive for a minimalistic and artistic aesthetic. Your sweet baby is always the focus of our images, accented with neutral tones and knit textures. Rest assured that our natural post-processing includes smoothing of skin and postpartum areas to make sure you look your best. Displaying Your Art
KEEPSAKE ALBUMS, SHOWCASE BOXES, AND MORE...
Your gallery of beautifully edited newborn portraits will be ready within two weeks after your session. Besides the high-resolution digital files included in your reservation, we specialize in designing elegant and timeless wall decor. You’re welcome to provide us with snapshots of your wall space, so we can design a custom display for your home.

BLANKETS, WRAPS & ACCESSORIES
we've got you covered
We offer access to our blankets, wraps, swaddles, bonnets, hats, headbands and accessories for newborn sessions. Most of the items have been handmade by talented designers who put effort into ensuring the item is perfect for your newborn’s portraits. All blankets are washed with the most gentle hypoallergenic detergents. You can view samples featured in the PORTFOLIO. Babies photograph best when naked or wrapped in soft fabrics. Our posing workflow allows us to transition smoothly and avoid disturbing baby from their deep sleep. While we are happy to incorporate a favorite outfit or heirloom, please understand that clothes tend to add bulk and detract from baby’s petite features.
WHAT TO BRING
We ask that you bring a pacifier, bottle of formula, swaddle, and a few clean diapers. You’ll also set aside a nice outfit for the family photography. We recommend skin-on-skin, creams, neutral tones, and soft colors for intimate family portraits. It’s best to avoid chunky jewelry and watches, which can be distracting elements. We have our own blankets, wraps, dainty headbands, and knit hats. However, we understand that sometimes parents like to bring along their own newborn accessories. Our favorite Etsy vendors are AndWhatNotBoutique and ItsyBitsyBlooms. Once your newborn session has been booked, you’ll be receiving our Welcome Guide of detailed preparation tips for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Your portrait session is only the beginning of creating your custom artwork. Within two weeks of your photo shoot, you'll be receiving a link to your private proofing gallery to select your favorite images for editing. Once you've finalized your favorites, we will artistically edit each image in our signature style. Please understand that we do not release RAW files, since they are not a finished product. You're welcome to purchase additional edited digital portraits.
We want you to treasure your final portraits. As you’ll see in our Before & After Gallery, each image is tastefully edited into a unique work of art. For every minute we spend together, we spend hundreds more behind the scenes to make your final photos and overall experience truly exceptional.
