The glow of your skin, those fluttering kicks, the excited emotions, and endless belly kisses. A Maternity Portrait Session is the perfect way to capture the wonder of this unique time in a stunning, unforgettable way.

Maternity portraits are generally captured around 30-34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully round and you’re still feeling comfortable for a variety of poses. Of course maternity portraits may be captured up to the very last day of pregnancy, and we try our best to allow flexibility in our calendar for last-minute openings. With your glowing skin and lustrous hair, there’s no time more beautiful in a woman’s life. Timing can be different for everyone, so please be in touch as soon as possible to book your appointment.

We understand how to pose a pregnant woman in the most flattering ways, and we take time to carefully perfect each pose. We will gently guide you throughout your session to perfect all the little details, and make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed during your maternity session. An abundance of natural light and professional studio lighting allow us to capture a variety of beautiful concepts, from high-key and low-key concepts with the white backdrop to dramatic silhouettes and abstracts on the darker backdrops. Although we have our own signature workflow, you’re welcome to provide inspiration if you have some favorite concepts from our portfolio that you would love to capture during your session.

Your portrait session is only the start of creating your custom artwork. We carefully curate the best images from your session based on lighting, background, focus, pose, facial expressions, and overall appeal. One week after your session, you'll select your favorite images for editing. Please understand that we do not release RAW files since they are not a finished product. You are always welcome to order additional digital portraits.
Once you've finalized your selections, we will artistically enhance each image in our signature style. As you’ll see in our Before & After Gallery, each image is tastefully edited in color and black & white. We want you to treasure your final portraits. For every minute we spend together, we spend hundreds more behind the scenes to make your final photos and overall experience truly exceptional.

WHAT TO WEAR
We have a variety of wardrobe options in our studio, including fitted maternity gowns, lace robes, bodysuits, crop tops, and silk fabrics to accentuate your curves. You can view samples in our portfolio. If you’d like to bring along a particular maternity style, we recommend Mama Bump Rentals. We also specialize in capturing tastefully implied nude portraits that showcase the beautiful curves of pregnancy. We will discuss the vision for your portraits beforehand. Once your maternity session has been booked, you’ll be receiving our Welcome Guide of preparation tips and style recommendations.
YOUR COMFORT

We photograph fully clothed maternity photos, as well as tastefully implied nudes. Many clients like to capture a combination of both, so you’ll have intimate portraits for your bedroom and more conservative silhouettes for the nursery. Our wide assortment of wardrobe options and silk fabrics allows you the freedom to select the styles that best suit your personal desires. Your comfort during the photo shoot is always our priority.

Besides the high-resolution digital files included in your Portrait Session, we specialize in designing elegant and timeless wall decor. You’re welcome to provide us with snapshots of your wall space, so we can design a custom display for your home. We offer a lovely selection of fine art prints, gallery wraps, contemporary artwork, and keepsake albums for a breathtaking presentation of your most special memories. mini sessions
We understand that some clients wish to save their investment for newborn portraits. Our limited Mini Sessions are ideal if you’d prefer a smaller variety of maternity poses with three styles. We kindly ask that you arrive with hair and make-up camera ready, since our glam artist will not be on set for these shorter sessions. Please note that our Mini Sessions are offered seasonally on select weekdays. Please be in touch at least a few months in advance to reserve an appointment.
